I enjoyed reading your first blog post Allen & especially liked the eating out / grocery portion as it resonated so deeply! Good luck with this next chapter for you and your family.
When I read the title of this blog post, I said, “Oh, my gosh.” It makes me smile thinking that you are finally living in retirement, and I am finally living and about to reenter the workforce. I guess it almost shows that you can be dead no matter what season you find yourself in and come alive at any point in your journey.
I feel so much overlap with how you and I have not been living. For the last decade, I relied on myself, which was incredibly lonely and isolating. Now re-entering the workforce as a single mom, I have found a community like never before.
Given the season that I find myself in, sometimes I think, is this real life. I think it feels like I am living a story; these things can’t be true. I want to start writing a blog because what I am going through is noteworthy. So happy you took the leap and started blogging. Enjoy the ride, and so glad to join you and your family on the journey! Cheers to being alive!
Thanks Michael! Two hours later, the anxiety of clicking Post and sharing intimate details of my life with complete strangers is finally beginning to wane :D

It gets easier with time! Posting pictures of myself online was murder at first, now I make myself look like an idiot at the drop of a hat....
